If you are travelling to India for business purposes then you will need to apply for a business visa. To obtain a business visa you will need to submit the following two documents along with the standard application form.

1. Letter from UK Employer / Company
You will need to send a signed letter on a company letter head, stating the reason for travel, the travel dates and where the traveller will be staying. We should receive the original letter in the post.

2. Invitation Letter from India Based Company
You need to send a signed letter from the company you will be meeting in India. Again this should state the reason for travel, the travel dates and where you will be staying. This can be a faxed copy, photocopy or a scanned email attachment.
Please note if you are travelling to India for journalism purposes you will to fill in a form of undertaking.
